Barbara Sher died in May 2020. She was 85 years old. She changed many a Life because she pursued her talents were and was doing what she loved. Having lived no easy life herself, she realized quite young that if you wanted to get more out of life you had to go and get it. You yourself are the creator of your own dreams and also the executioner. Several years ago, I watched her TED talk for the first time and a couple of weeks back, I stumbled over it again and realized that this is the way to go:

To create a community of people who help each other in materializing their dreams, a Dream Team if you will. Her success formula:

  • Find out what you Love/What makes you feel happy
  • Find out about resources
  • Get people around you that help you attain your goals. People who get together, at regular interval, preferably every week, and help each other get closer to that dream.

I would love to be part of such a team so, what better way is there to ask around and see who wants to join? Here’s a fun booklet that Barbara posted that you can download.

Do you want to be on our Dream Team?

If so, reach out to us! And tell us:

What is your dream?

What is/are the obstacle(s) to realizing that dream?

There are different ways to Rome as over 5 years ago, I got to know about Live Your Legend because I was very inspired by the TED talk by their founder Scott Dinsmore. I started applying their principles and went to Live Your Legend local meetings. It was very inspiring, but at some point, Life intervened and I dropped out, our local community died and things went on ice. BUT, the positive thing about this whole story is that I started organizing fermentation workshops. I was so passionate about them, so I had to share. I became one of the first people in our neighborhood doing that, and soon many other fermentation workshops started to pop up. I posted about research on the topic and the health benefits related to consuming fermented foods.. but as said before, Life happened, and I dropped ‘outta school’..

Clear there are many different ways to room and in essence, both people say exactly the same thing, but the packaging may be a little different.

To me, there is nothing more satisfying than to see the brilliance in people’s eyes when they tell you about their dream, their passion.. and if you can only help them a little bit to get closer to attain that state where they shine all the time, isn’t there anything more beautiful than that?
